Job Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for greeting walk-in visitors and handing incoming phone calls while projecting a favorable image of BCD Travel. Provides back up administrative duties.

We are seeking an experienced, professional receptionist for our Americas Headquarters office located in the Atlanta/Dunwoody area, specifically the iconic King Building within The Concourse office complex.

Job Specific Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Front Desk Duties * Greet all visitors cordially and professionally and assist them with meeting their party * Contact appropriate departments for visitors on a job interview. * Answer incoming calls courteously and professionally. * Understand and adhere to employee personal preferences for handling and transferring calls. Make every effort to be aware of daily guest and their location for proper transfer of calls. * Provide miscellaneous customer service and building information to guests. * Accept and distribute packages from delivery services. Back-Up Responsibilities * Maintain standard office supply inventory as required by office * Log items for office pick-up, requiring signature for pick-up * Sort mail by employee and place in employee mail box, as applicable * Sign-off for coffee service and soda drink deliveries. Call for servicing or supplies as needed * Maintain conference room scheduling * Issue parking and building key card for new employees and guests, as applicable * Maintains employee phone list and update when personnel changes * Assist with administrative duties and special projects as requested. General Responsibilities * Arrive in time to open reception area and turn on telephone system by designated arrival time. * Appropriately close the reception area and turn off phone system for night recording at designated time. * Maintain a personal professional appearance by dressing according to company dress code for receptionist. * Maintain reception area by cleaning and dusting as needed. Move boxes and papers out of public view; keep area free of clutter to maintain a professional environment. * Assumes and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, as requested. Education/Knowledge/Experience: Essential * High School degree or equivalent * Professional manner and appearance * Effective oral communication skills * Ability to type 30 words per minute * Basic Word, Excel and Outlook skills * Ability to consistently arrive to work at designated time * Ability to work well with others, including administrative team Preferred * Experience working with a multi-line Italic (Ctrl+I)phone system; OpenScape Concierge software a plus! * Bi-linual a plus
