The Director of Supplier Relations (Mobile) will take the lead in directing and maintaining the supplier/offers platform strategy for BCD Travel's mobile App. As the Director, you will build and maintain relationships with preferred and non-preferred travel industry suppliers (Hotel, Air, Car) for the purpose of maximizing the supplier strategy in the digital environment.

Focused on managing new or current vendor providers to deliver return on mobile platform and bridging our mobile strategy to current distribution systems. Leverage digital product position to maximize preferred supplier income while improving consumer value proposition through value added product offerings that bring a robust user experience. Will also be responsible for trouble shooting and maximizing leverage of BCD's purchasing power.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Negotiate agreements with preferred Air, Hotel and Car suppliers to promote incentives and offers via the Mobil App platform - Negotiate supplier and advertising agreements

Develop and implement strategic business plan / steering policy: - Develops preferred vendor maximization strategy to increase performance and support overall supplier relations objectives - Make recommendations regarding preferred, non-preferred partnership strategies - Establish marketing plans to maximize offers and new revenue stream

Establish and maintain relationships: - Establish relationships with non-preferred suppliers to support mobile platform objectives - Support current Supplier Relations relationships with digital "sales" expertise - Primary supplier relations point of contact for Mobile strategy and implementation - Lead multi-department efforts to align core values to maximize platform and enhance the user experience

Analyze and report on supplier performance on Mobile App offers and incentives: - Analyzes performance of revenue and customer strategies - Develop, maintain actionable reporting while providing strategic and tactical consulting

Provide leadership and communication: - Primary supplier relations point of contact for Mobile strategy and implementation - Establishes supplier relation Mobile communication and industry quick takes - Establishes, maintains and provides monthly/quarterly industry updates executive stakeholders -Lead multi-department efforts to align core values to maximize platform and enhance the user experience

Qualifications

  • Digital (Mobile App and Web) knowledge which includes the digital marketplace - advertising, product placement and mobile / web offers placement
  • Travel industry experience in either Air, Hotel or Car distribution methods(strongly preferred)
  • Mobile and/or Web sales or advertising experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Proven interpersonal relationships and customer service skills
